Late Lovesong

June 03, 2017

I craved to feel this kind of love,

anchored into my inside with the clarity of water.

your eyes speak of a visceral honesty;

you hold your head in truth, and carry light in

the depths and spasms of this tired world.

I knew you’d be mine.

into you my darkness I can pour

for you understand.

yet in your palms kindness is carved

and your soul lugs the stories of a foreign places

corched by an apricot sky.

I harbour your love tight between the walls of my heart

 I will not let go, but treasure

your gift.

village boy,

to me you are a miracle.

I am a dark ant in a dark world – yet you found me.
