Earth pigments on reclaimed wooden board by Mirella Salame

Reinvent yourself. Recreate yourself. Manifest your dream life. You can become anything, anyone, anywhere.

There’s a flooding of manifestation gurus that encourage us to recreate reinvent manifest move away buy a big house get rich. Of course, the Earth has known for a long time the mystery of energy: what we bring into mind as idea will soon go into full bloom if watered with our daily attention. Yet the overwhelming manifestation movement that seems to  be so pervasive reaps us away from the most important thing – we have roots here for a reason. It snatches us away from sharing the gratitude to this Earth that is right under our feet, that feeds us. It makes us dream of being someone else, anywhere but here and now.

To remain grounded, remember what is truly important. Ask this question daily: how can I be of service to this wounded world? How can I be an instrument in the hands of god to healing. Through these herbs that have healed me plucked from this earth, to the ground that nourished me when I was so depleted, the unseen love that carried me when I could no longer bear my weight. How can I give back to another that is in the depths of the same pain I was. This question burns in  me daily. Manifest that instead. Manifest your presence into each and every moment of your life. Manifest your rooting deeper into the ground where you have been already planted. Dream the dream of your life given to you now.

It’s easy to run away in this world and change the outer layers of our lives. But the pulp and seeds of our being always remain, no matter where we go. Our sorrows, joys and blessings, fear and shame, desires and dreams all come with us. Return to what’s important: a soul purpose to become in perfect synchronisation with forests and the sea, to  make daily offerings to the earth, to pray quietly for clarity of mind in these storm-full times.
